home·mak·er (hōm'mā'kər) n. One who manages a household, especially as one's main daily activity.

1924-2009This past weekend we were able to go to Sharp's Creek and go camping with our ward. It was so much fun; I haven't been camping since before I was married. Megs loved every minute of it. She got to explore, and play with all of her sunbeam friends! It was so cute to see her shoulder to shoulder laughing with two other friends.
On Friday we went to Christopher Creek, where the creek goes over the road. Megan had so much fun playing in it. Mark had so much fun fishing in the creek. It was was the perfect weather for everything.
That night we had a chili cook off, and so I went to Sam's Club and bought a huge thing of stag chili (don't worry I disqualified myself, I just wanted to contribute to the food ) It tasted so yummy. That night we looked at stars it was so beautiful. It was also so COLD!!! We went to bed and Megs got up every couple of hours just chilled to the bone. We made it through the night and Megs woke up with a little cold. Other then though it was a ton of fun!
Enjoy a couple of pictures from my cell.
This is proof that somewhere in AZ the know what seasons are!

Yesterday we had a chance to attend a wonderful baby blessing for the cousins of Mark. What made this blessing so unique was the fact that it was in our old ward building; where we had blessed Megan. It was fun to show her how special this place had become in my heart. I also think it was a great experience to feel so connected to the church and the people that surround us every week.
When an event like this happens it hard for me not express, my gratitude towards the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am so thankful for all of my blessings that I receive each and every day. I am thankful for the lessons I have been taught to help prepare me for what ever trials I have ahead of me .
A wonderful opportunity presented itself yesterday that I believe would not have happen without the Church. My husband had the opportunity to go home teaching. {Home teachers visit their assigned families at least once each month to teach and strengthen them. Home teachers establish a relationship of trust with these families so that the families can call upon them in times of need.(The Church Website) } I always thought what a blessing it was to those families who received these monthly lessons. (Including ours) While he was gone I was thinking about the trial we are knee deep in; the fact is Mark hasn't had a job since May. I couldn't help but think that even though it might seem as a hard time for our family, there have been to many blessing that have come from it to really consider it a struggle. I know that might seems strange so let me explain. I believe in free agency and with that the power of choices. This "trial"{which does have high and low points do not get me wrong} has been about choices. We have chosen to go through this as a family. There is no room for blame. For months I have been praying for experiences to draw us closer to Christ and our Heavenly Father, I have been praying that our family well be strengthen and closer together. This experience has done just that. It is truly been what our family has needed.
This experience has also given me a testimony of modern day prophets.{As members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we are blessed to be led by living prophets—inspired men called to speak for the Lord...lds.org} If you would have asked me last year if Mark could ever have lost his job my reply would have been no. He had just gotten a raise with high marks. He did his job and gave more then 100% each every day. My feeling was very high job security. So when the prophet Thomas Monson told us to start to prepare. We did it thinking ahh we will never use it. We put money into savings and collected food storage when we could ,never intending to have to survive on it. With these safe guards in place when the unexpected happened we were prepared. It was nice to be able to put teaching to use.
When Mark got home last night from home teaching he told me some exciting news. He just received a new couple to home teach and yesterday was their first meeting. As they were getting to know each other the opportunity came to speak about their current professions. This man who really does not know us at all, told Mark about how he was able to help someone get a job at his place of employment. They must have been impressed because they asked if he could help them with more open positions. He then told Mark to email his resume over and see what he can do. Nothing is ever expected but the opportunity itself amazes me. I know that this can not be done without the blessings of the Church.
I testify that this is the true church. I am so thankful to be a member of it. I know that my Savor lives. I know of blessing of faith in my Heavenly Father. I am lucky enough to live with them every day. It is so hard when you see suffering everywhere to know where happiness can lie and not shout every chance you have. I KNOW THIS CHURCH IT TRUE!!!
And now, O my son Helaman, behold, thou art in thy youth, and therefore, I beseech of thee that thou wilt hear my words and learn of me; for I do know that whosoever shall put their trust in God shall be supported in their trials, and their troubles, and their afflictions, and shall be lifted up at the last day. Alma 36:3

Yes she is singing jingle bells in the first one, that might be my fault. What can I say I love Christmas! The second and third one she is trying to stop the fountain from coming up and spraying her.
WARNING: These adorable cute videos might be kinda loud, so if you are in a office you might want to turn down the volume a little.
I hope you all enjoy!
